About GCDS

The University established GNLU Centre for Disability Studies (GCDS) with an aim to work for rights of disabled people and promotion of social justice through teaching and research in the interdisciplinary areas of sociology, social work, law and policy. Through curriculum development, research projects and disability studies, the Centre aims to provide meaningful contribution in the areas of disability and human rights, disability and society, accessibility and reasonable accommodations, inclusive education, gender and disability, amongst.

About GNLU Sports Committee

The Sports Committee of Gujarat National Law University was commenced in the year 2008 with a vision to develop the sporting culture in the University. The Sports Committee works tirelessly through the year, organising a plethora of activities which has unearthed precocious, hidden talents who have become fixtures in the University teams.

For developing sporting culture among the students with disabilities at the University and at other educational institutions, we are organising a webinar on the topic “Equal Opportunities in Sports to the Persons with Disabilities: Prospects and Challenges” on 17th December, 2021 at 2.00 P.M. to 4.30 P.M. wherein students with disabilities would be motivated to take active part in sport activities. Further prospects and challenges in sports for persons with disabilities shall also be highlighted.

4. Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh (International Para Swimmer)

5. Parul Dalsukhbhai Parmar (Indian para-badminton player).
