About Course
Internal Editorial Training for Accurate, Readable and Search-Friendly Legal Content
Learn how to transform raw legal manuscripts into accurate, readable, practical and search-friendly articles that meet LL.B Mania’s editorial and publication standards.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Legal editing involves much more than correcting grammar.
Every article published by LL.B Mania must accurately explain the applicable law, rely on credible sources, answer a genuine reader question and provide practical value. It must also be structured and optimised so that readers can discover, understand and use the information.
This internal course trains members of the LL.B Mania team to review legal articles through six essential editorial gates:
- Legal accuracy;
- Research and source verification;
- Substance and structure;
- Plain-language copyediting;
- SEO copyediting; and
- Final publication quality control.
Participants will learn how to verify statutes, judgments and legal claims; identify overstatements; restructure weak manuscripts; simplify legal language without changing its meaning; develop SEO titles and metadata; use AI responsibly; and apply LL.B Mania’s publication checklist.
The course concludes with a practical editing assignment in which participants must review a legal article using track changes, editorial comments, source verification and SEO recommendations.
