Learning About ‘Why, When & How’ one should Moot in Law School

COVID SAHYOG In Collaboration With REHANA’S DREAMS PRESENTS LEARNING ABOUT ‘WHY’ , ‘WHEN’ AND ‘HOW’ ONE SHOULD MOOT IN EARLY SEMESTERS OF LAW SHCHOOL.

About Covid Sahyog

Covid Sahyog is one of the social initiatives, started by the students of NLU Jodhpur, in these challenging times. During the 2nd wave of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of dedicated volunteers worked across India to provide relief to the most affected persons on a 24 hour basis. We ensured the availability of COVID-19 resources, as far as possible, to the needy people by connecting them with appropriate local administration via Twitter, and even approaching active NGOs as well as other Self Help Groups.

About Rehana’s Dreams

Rehana’s Dreams is a not for profit organization envisioned by some First-Year students of National Law University, Jodhpur. The main aim of the institution is to help the vulnerable socio economic backward children, primarily the ones living in orphanages, in dismal condition. COVID-19 has led to a shortage of funds in orphanages to support themselves. There are doubts on how long they will be able to sustain themselves without outside funding, which is currently unavailable at this point of time. Therefore, Rehana’s Dreams aims to extend a helping hand to these children, and bring smiles on their faces.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Covid Sahyog is proud to announce a collaboration with Rehana’s Dreams to organize a fundraiser event, focused on- Learning about ‘Why’, ‘when’ and ‘how’ one should moot in the early semesters of law school. Our esteemed speakers will guide law students on the most fundamental and unheeded aspects of mooting. The competition would serve as extracurricular stimulation and would be a catalyst for those students who wish to learn the art of mooting.

As the Second Wave of COVID-19 pandemic subsides in India gradually, Covid Sahyog, aims to take a step forward and help those people who have already recovered from the virus or are left alone due to demise of their near family members.

Hence, we have decided to organize this event, the funds of which will totally be utilized for this noble cause.
