About GCDS

The University established GNLU Centre for Disability Studies (GCDS) with an aim to work for rights of disabled people and promotion of social justice through teaching and research in the interdisciplinary areas of sociology, social work, law and policy. Through curriculum development, research projects and disability studies, the Centre aims to provide meaningful contribution in the areas of disability and human rights, disability and society, accessibility and reasonable accommodations, inclusive education, gender and disability, amongst.

About GLIC

GNLU Legal Incubation Council (GLIC) is established as part of GNLU’s vision towards excellence in imparting quality legal education and executing the same support system for entrepreneurs in law and interdisciplinary domains through the institutional mechanism. In 2018, the incubation Center of GNLU registered itself as a GNLU Legal Incubation Council Section 8 company to provide its services more formally and professionally. GLIC promotes entrepreneurship activities by organizing activities like the Annual Business plan competition, expert lectures, workshops, seminars, including providing seed funding to student-run start-ups.

Keeping in mind the aims and objectives of GCDS, GLIC and theme of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, 2021 i.e. “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world”, we are organising a webinar on 15th December, 2021 from 2 P.M. to 4.30 P.M. The theme for the webinar is “Entrepreneurial Leadership and Disability: Prospects and Challenges”.
